Chain Reaction

Chain Reaction is a spectacular participative team-building activity based on the creation of a Rube Goldberg machine: a chain reaction in which each action triggers the next in a playful, ingenious and visual way.

Each team is tasked with designing a mechanical sequence, using simple materials andsalvaged components. The aim? That all the modules, once connected, form a continuous chain, from a starting point to an end point, without interruption.

This challenge stimulates creativity, coordination, teamwork and project management under time pressure. To succeed, teams must work closely together to ensure the coherence andseamless flow of their constructions.

Accompanied by our animators, the activity takes place in several phases:

• Design and testing,
• Synchronization with other teams,
• Collective launch of the final reaction,
• Celebrate successes and spectacular developments together!

Accessible to all and requiring no technical skills, this team building program highlights cross-disciplinary skills: inter-team communication, active listening, collective creativity and systemic thinking.
